Professor Igal Wolman is a consultant obstetrician at the ultrasound unit at the Lis Maternity Hospital, Tel Aviv Medical Center. He is also an associated Professor at the Tel Aviv Medical School at the Tel Aviv University. He is a member of the Israeli Medical Association, Israeli Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Israeli Society of Ultrasonography in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the board of the Israeli Society of Contraception and Sexual Health.

His preclinical medical studies were in Rome and the clinical studies in the Tel Aviv University where he was awarded his MD in 1985. He trained as an obstetrician and in gynecology in the Serlin Maternity Hospital, Tel Aviv. He has published over 80 peer reviewed articles and has made over 70 presentations at scientific meetings. He has written chapters for 11 textbooks and is the coauthor of the Israeli Guide to Contraception. He is also the author of another two books. His special interest is in fetal malformation screening.
