![Noteworthy Comment: Management of stable angina in diabetics, an ever-increasing population with high risk, is a challenge. Enthusiasm for tight control of some risk factors has been tempered by ACCORD and other studies. Judicious use of lifestyle measures (exercise, weight loss, smoking, nutrition as described by EASD), ACEi, antiischemic drugs that improve glycemia (eg ranolazine),and antiplatelet drugs must be optimized.
