![Noteworthy comment: Young people of today are heavily engaged in social media. Sadly, they sometimes fail to involve themselves in the checks and balances of normal social interaction. Digital games are addictive; every time anyone ‘wins’ something, a little of the ‘pleasure’ hormone dopamine is released, in line with other addictions such as drugs and so forth. So, sadly, access to online gambling is yet another extension of an ever-present danger for the youth of today. Clever youngsters can access such things at a young age, often illegally. This paper is thus timely in raising scientific awareness around gambling in the modern era in our vulnerable young people.](assets/img/article_icons/noteworthy.png)
