![Noteworthy comment: This study aimed to explore the relationship between kynurenic acid (KYNA) and cognitive impairment in schizophrenia (SCZ), which is quite novel. The results found that elevated plasma KYNA levels were associated with impaired attention/vigilance and social cognition of SCZ, suggesting that KYNA seems to be a promising biomarker for cognitive investigations in SCZ.](assets/img/article_icons/noteworthy.png)
