Noteworthy comment: This publication sets forth recommend actions for post treatment surveillance for onchocerciasis recrudesence. These recommendations are essential guidelines for certifying that onchocerciasis has been eliminated from a given area. This will represent a seminal guideline for elimination certification both in Latin America and Africa.
