Dr. Sachin Mali holds a PhD in Bioengineering from Syracuse University, New York. Currently, he serves as a Senior Principal Research and Development Engineer at Medtronic Cranial and Spinal Technologies, located in Memphis, TN, USA. 

Dr. Mali's research focuses on Biomaterials Science, particularly nanostructured biomaterials/implants, surface modifications, additive manufacturing, biocompatibility, and the electrochemistry of medical alloys. His expertise extends to corrosion, wear, and the advancement of novel mechanical and electrochemical test methodologies for orthopedic and spinal medical devices and biomaterials. With over 17 years of combined academic and industry research experience, he specializes in performance evaluation and failure analysis of orthopedic biomaterials and medical devices.

Actively contributing to the academic community, Dr. Mali serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of Materials Technology: Advanced Performance Materials. He has also served as a peer-reviewer for numerous Chemical, Materials Science, and Biomedical journals. As a member of prestigious professional organizations within his field, Dr. Mali brings valuable insights and expertise.

Dr. Mali's scholarly contributions include authoring over 21 peer-reviewed research publications and/or book chapters, along with presenting over 35 international conference proceedings.
