Oral Methylnaltrexone in the treatment of patients with opioid-induced constipation and noncancer pain
In these linked studies, Webster and Israel evaluate the safety and efficacy of oral methylnaltrexone for opioid-induced constipation (OIC), concluding that oral methylnaltrexone does not elicit opioid withdrawal or interfere with opioid analgesia and is efficacious and safe for the treatment of OIC.
