![Noteworthy Comment: Negative RCT studies for the use of vitamins/minerals in clinical cardiology are well known. Many are less than ideal in providing definitive answers. Small doses, forms of vitamins and short durations of administration in patients with advanced disease being treated with multiple drugs and trial design have been cited as limitations. Is something being missed? This debated subject is reviewed here.](assets/img/article_icons/noteworthy.png)

![Noteworthy Comment: Prevalence, underdiagnosis, and undertreatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) all remain high. Adherence is also a potent barrier in therapy. Sharing risk factors such as obesity, hypertension, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, dyslipidemia, and systemic inflammation, management of the syndrome is a challenge. This review is a readable update.](assets/img/article_icons/noteworthy.png)

![Noteworthy Comment: Management of stable angina in diabetics, an ever-increasing population with high risk, is a challenge. Enthusiasm for tight control of some risk factors has been tempered by ACCORD and other studies. Judicious use of lifestyle measures (exercise, weight loss, smoking, nutrition as described by EASD), ACEi, antiischemic drugs that improve glycemia (eg ranolazine),and antiplatelet drugs must be optimized. For multivessel disease, barring contraindications, CABG is currently preferred.](assets/img/article_icons/noteworthy.png)

![Noteworthy Comment: Cardiogenic shock is among the most lethal syndromes treated by cardiologists. While mortality remains high, survival is possible. Success demands great knowledge, clinical judgment, talent, and experience of the clinician and his/her team. This review provides an authoritative, focused, but readable update of advances in evidence and practice to help manage such patients.](assets/img/article_icons/noteworthy.png)
